Established in 2012, Arizona Gastrointestinal Associates (AGA) was founded to set a new benchmark for digestive healthcare in Arizona. Our practice was built by organizing several of the region’s most distinguished gastroenterology groups into divisions, and through steady organic growth, our physicians and staff have become a trusted pillar of health within the communities we serve.

At AGA, we believe extensive clinical experience is the foundation of accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Our physicians maintain a high volume of procedures, with a primary focus on colonoscopies and EGDs. Performing thousands of these procedures annually ensures our team maintains the highest level of clinical mastery, providing the technical precision and diagnostic insight our patients rely on for their long-term health.
To enhance the patient experience, we perform the majority of our cases at our affiliated outpatient endoscopy centers. These facilities are designed specifically for endoscopic procedures, allowing us to deliver care in a more streamlined and comfortable environment than a traditional hospital. This specialized approach results in significant cost savings for our patients and their insurers, making essential preventative screenings more accessible and affordable.

Unlike many large healthcare groups, AGA is uniquely physician-led and physician-organized. We believe medical decisions are best made by the doctors who treat the patients. This independent structure ensures our clinical priorities and patient protocols are managed exclusively by experts in gastroenterology, keeping the doctor-patient relationship at the center of everything we do.
